ABSTRACT
</SectionTitle>
    <Paragraph position="0"> The semantics of Moritague's The proper treatment of quantification in ordinary English (PTQ) uses an intensional model to evaluate formulas. In this primarily tutorial paper we show how a model can be explicitly constructed and used. Examples of the evaluation of formulas are worked through carefully.</Paragraph>
    <Paragraph position="1"> Partiqular attention is paid to the role of the meaning.</Paragraph>
    <Paragraph position="2"> postulates of PTQ in restricting the choice of models.</Paragraph>
    <Paragraph position="3"> An abbreviatory notation, giving names to complex elements, is used to sivplify khe process of constructing a model. At each level, complex elements are formed from simpler elements alfeady named.</Paragraph>
    <Paragraph position="4"> Tht; size of a finite model PS01 PTQ based on two points of reference and two entities is calculated and its implications discussed.</Paragraph>
