ILEX certainly does have goals - to educate the user and keep them interested.</Paragraph> <Paragraph position="1"> But these are essentially compiled away into the content of the content potential (e.g. the entities and general facts that are included) and the interest and importance annotations on facts. At runtime, ILEX just has the task of selecting the best opportunities, given the situation that the user has reached. These opportunities arise not just in how content is selected but also in how it is structured. We conclude that' there a strong analogy between the way that ILEX operates and the *techniques used in opportunistic *approaches to planning in other domains, and this connection * is worthy of further exploration.</Paragraph> </Section> class="xml-element"></Paper>
