5 Conclusion
</SectionTitle>
    <Paragraph position="0"> We showed that lexical cohesion can be used as a knowledge source for word sense disambiguation and text segrnentatinn. We think our method is promising, although only partially successful results can be obtained in the experiments so far.</Paragraph>
    <Paragraph position="1"> Here we reported some preliminary positive results and made some suggestions for how to improve the method in future. The improvement of the method is now under way.</Paragraph>
    <Paragraph position="2"> In addition, because computation of lexical chains depends completely on the thesaurus used, we think the comparison among the results by different thesauri would be insightful and are now planning. \[t it also necessary to incorporate other textual information, such as clue words, which can be computationally accessible to improve the performance.</Paragraph>
