In particular, it generates the required readings for sentence-final 'then'. We have also indicated how our analysis of 'then' could be incorporated into some existing DRT accounts of temporal reference. The system appears to be capable of various refinements involving more detailed theories of discourse structure, and as such may provide a basis for development of more extensive systems for discourse analysis.</Paragraph> </Section> class="xml-element"></Paper>
