    <Paragraph position="0"> I have shown that the analysis of purpose clauses lends support to the proposal of using generation and enablement to model actions, and that the interpretation of purpose clauses originates specific inferences: I have illustrated two of them, that can be seen as examples of accommodation processes (Lewis, 1979), and that show how the bearer's inference processes are directed by the goal(s) s/he is adopting.</Paragraph>
    <Paragraph position="1"> Future work includes fully developing the action representation formalism, and the algorithm, especially the part regarding computing assumptions.</Paragraph>
