This bidirectionality aids efficiency as well as insuring compatibility between analysis and generation components. A lexicon designed for bidirectionality differs distinctly fi:om one designed for either generation or analysis alone, and often develops aspects of each process that might otherwise be overlooked.</Paragraph>
