We have described an account of presupposition that therefore makes beliefs central. This account includes a new definition of presupposition that captures it more precisely than earlier ones.</Paragraph> <Paragraph position="1"> Treating presuppositions as beliefs -- with full consideration given to all agents' beliefs -- not only allows a more correct analysis by avoiding the Truth Assumption and the Shared Belief Assumption; it also makes it possible to account for presuppositionM phenomena that could not be explained otherwise.</Paragraph> </Section> class="xml-element"></Paper>
