The TERSEO system, a temporal information extraction system applied to event ordering has been used to detect and resolve temporal expressions in questions and answers.</Paragraph> <Paragraph position="2"> Moreover, this work proposes a new multi-layered architecture that enables to solve complex questions by enhancing current Q.A. capabilities.</Paragraph> <Paragraph position="3"> The multi-layered approach can be applied to any kind of complex questions that allow question decomposition such as script questions, e.g., &quot; How do I assemble a bicycle?&quot;, or template-like questions, e.g., &quot;Which are the main biographical data of Nelson Mandela?&quot;.</Paragraph> <Paragraph position="4"> This paper has specifically focused on a process of decomposition of complex temporal questions and on its evaluation on a temporal question corpus. In the future, our work is directed to fine tune this system and increase its capabilities towards processing questions of higher complexity.</Paragraph> </Section> class="xml-element"></Paper>
