5. Conclusion
</SectionTitle>
    <Paragraph position="0"> We have addressed here the problem of classification across two languages. Specifically we have considered the problem of bootstrapping. We find that when the task is word translation disambiguation between two languages, we can use the asymmetric relationship between the ambiguous words in the two languages to significantly boost the performance of bootstrapping. We refer to this approach as bilingual bootstrapping.</Paragraph>
    <Paragraph position="1"> We have developed a method for implementing this bootstrapping approach that naturally combines the use of naive Bayes and the EM algorithm. Future work includes a theoretical analysis of bilingual bootstrapping (generalization error of BB, relationship between BB and co-training, etc.) and extensions of bilingual bootstrapping to more complicated machine translation tasks.</Paragraph>
