    <Paragraph position="0"> We believe that text meaning processing, and subsequent question-answering about that text, is fundamentally a modeling activity, in which text suggests scenario models to use, and those models suggest ways of interpreting text. We have described some ongoing investigations were are conducting to develop this approach into a usable method for language processing. Although this approach is challenging for a number reasons, it offers significant potential for allowing question-answering to go beyond facts explicitly stated in the various text sources used.</Paragraph>
