    <Paragraph position="0"> We have outlined how the output of MT can be used as testbed for linguistic analysis in the source language, supplementing other methods. The main advantage of this approach, in our view, is that it helps to prioritize analysis problems, highlighting those which have the most direct bearing on the application(s), the correct functioning of which is the main goal of the system.</Paragraph>
